We had another lovely evening crafting with the Ladies of the WI. We made tags again as only a few of the Ladies were able to join us when we made them last year. This time however I made more decorations beforehand as examples and it was more enjoyable. Also the ladies enjoyed making some wonderful cards.
Thank you again Ladies and also to my husband. I ran out of the door without my gluegun and my camera. He jumped in the car and drove to the venue (I have thanked him several times already!)and dropped them off otherwise I could not have taken any pictures and showed you how beautiful the tags and cards were.

Today I heard that I have been picked for the Bead Soup Blog Party. I know lots of people wanted to take part and not everyone got picked, so I feel honoured to have been chosen. I am paired with Elke Leonhardt-Rath from Germany, so Elke if you happen to read this I hope we have a lovely Bead soup together. And everyone else who happens to hop over and look at my blog, you are very welcome and I hope you leave a comment!

Mark and Saskia have left for University again. It was lovely to be together at Christmas and I am sad but proud. So this weekend I had to clean and wash and iron. I did a bit of that but I also had time to finish these corsages. They will be added to the website next week.

Today I signed up for the most amazing Bead Soup Blog Party. Only 300 (lucky) people can participate so I am keeping my fingers crossed. The button on the right will explain everything. Thought I would post some of my necklaces that I made before.

About Me

My Photo
Welcome to the Room for Change Blog! I am a textile designer who loves auctions, rummaging through car boot sales, second-hand shops and being creative. Anything old and broken, or vintage that has outlived its usefulness, I can mend and transform into pieces that are usable again. I make an eclectic mix of colourful sometimes vintage bazaar style pieces that are sometimes slightly kitsch, sometimes romantic and shabby chic but always visually stimulating and fun to wear or to have in your house. I creatively up-cycle, making new products of better quality and wherever possible I use recycled materials. Useless bits and bobs can be converted into higher value items that can be useful for a long time. In this blog I will chronicle the creations I make and sell on the website. Grab a cup of tea and I hope I can inspire you. Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. (as George Bernhard Shaw said) because in all of us and the world around us there is room for change. Marjolein
